About

Robert (Bob) Atkinson, New York City-based commercial still life product and location photographer / videographer, brings a broad range of technical expertise, experience, and creativity to a wide variety of projects and clients. His problem-solving skills, professionalism, and quiet understated nature makes him a long time favorite with clients. From capturing the most intricate detail on a timepiece to shooting on location outdoors, Bob is passionate about his work and places the utmost priority in working with clients to consistently achieve successful outcomes.

Bob lives in the New York City metro area with his wife Janet Atkinson, web developer / designer / illustrator, and their two daughters. When not shooting, Bob is an avid cyclist, and enjoys long distance riding outdoors.

“In every sense, Bob proved to be one of the best people I have ever worked with. He is a committed professional and a good person. He is deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of product photography, and perhaps of greater importance, he is creative. He knows how to use his camera and his post-production tools to convey the essence of the subject in an appealing manner. As our “DP”, Bob’s work gave our content a polished look that set a new standard. Always looking to raise the bar, Bob suggested that we should present videos online, and again his work exceeded expectations. For more than two years, in a deadline-driven setting, Bob delivered beautiful images and video on time and on budget, and I always looked forward to our meetings. Working with Bob was one of the most rewarding collaborations of my 16 years in digital and print publishing.”
-Mike Disher, Owner of AeriaLab (Former Editor, WatchTime Magazine)

“It is with great confidence that I can recommend Robert (Bob) for all of your still photography needs. He has detailed knowledge of all the technical and creative components in his field: lighting, presentation, pre-press, (I have also seen him do special effects), etc. In addition, he is a true gentleman with the utmost integrity. It is truly a pleasure working with Bob.”
-Meredith Ballen-Brownstein (Former Art Director, Metropolitan Museum of Art)
